Human remains found in cemented bathtub at Port Klang house
PORT KLANG: The police found human remains cemented in a bathtub at a house in Kampung Pendamar here yesterday.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said the remains, believed to be those of a woman, were sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem.
Hussein said no arrests have been made, but the police are intensifying efforts to track down two men believed to be linked to the discovery of the remains.
“According to the house owner, the bathtub was cemented in 2020 when two Indian nationals were living there,” he said.
After the duo moved out, a married couple rented the house.
“Recently, the house owner was informed by residents in the area that there was a body buried in the bathtub. The owner, who felt uneasy, asked the latest tenants to move out and lodged a police report,” he said.
The Selangor fire and rescue department said it received a call from the police regarding the discovery.
It said personnel from the Port Klang fire and rescue station arrived 10 minutes later and found the remains after breaking up the cement using special tools.
A neighbour said he was surprised to see a group of policemen and firefighters outside the house.
“The house was rented out to foreign nationals before they returned home. After that, it was rented to a local married couple,” he said.
